Recommended Trailer Hitch, Wiring, and 4-Pole Bracket for 2013 Buick Enclave without Tow Package
Question:
I am looking at the Draw-tite hitch 75528 for my 2013 Buick Enclave. In the video I see it states it has a piece welded on to allow attaching a bracket to mount the wiring. Is the bracket number 18144 correct to use with this? Will the mounting holes match up? I know there are some universal ones with the hose clamp, but I wanted to avoid those. Also, mine does not have a factory tow package. Is 118270 the right wiring harness for it?Thanks

The Draw-Tite # 75528 is a great choice of trailer hitch for your 2013 Buick Enclave. You are correct that the hitch will have a welded bracket for you to attach the 4-pole bracket # 18144 too. The holes of both brackets will line up so you will be able to install the bracket easily with the included hardware. I have linked a video where you can see this being done at the 1:40 minute mark.
The exterior mounted plug should be equipped on all models of the Enclave, but you will need the included fuses and relays along with the # 118270 wiring harness to activate the tow package since yours was not originally equipped with the tow package. The video I attached is the installation of this wiring harness on a similar Enclave for you to check out.
To tow you will also need a ball mount and ball. Your trailer and your vehicle (about 19 inches with the Draw-Tite hitch) will dictate which of these you will need based on the coupler size and height. You might be interested in etrailer ball mount kit # 989900, which works for many common vehicle and trailer needs. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It also includes a 1-7/8 inch ball, 2 inch ball, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag.
If the ball mount kit does not include a ball mount with the right rise or drop to tow the trailer level, check out the link I have included that explains how to measure to choose a ball mount to tow the trailer level.
I have linked the above mentioned products to this page for your convenience.
