Recommendation for Carrying Two Kayaks on a Ford Excursion
Question:
I have a 2002 Ford Excursion and would like to put two kayaks on my roof rack. I have researched several products. Can you recommend one?

I would recommend the Thule Stacker, # TH830, for carrying two kayaks on your Ford Excursion because it is a premium product designed specifically for carrying multiple kayaks. It also has the ability to hold up to 4 kayaks so there is expansion potential. Although I believe the Thule Stacker is most likely the best option for you, I do want to note there is one restriction on the length of the watercraft...kayaks cannot be longer than 10 feet.
If your kayaks are longer than 10 feet, then I'd recommend the Yakima JayLow, # Y04073, which also will hold 2 kayaks and there is not a length restriction.
Both of these options are compatible with a factory roof rack for your vehicle as well as most aftermarket roof racks. Tie downs and straps are included with either the Thule Stacker, # TH830, or the Yakima JayLow, # Y04073, and I've attached videos and installation instructions for both.
Not knowing the dimensions of your kayaks, I suggest checking your owners manual for roof weight capacities to ensure safe transport.
