How to Measure Hub to Select Bearing Buddy Grease Cap

Question:

Hello, I have a harbor freight model # 90154 trailer. I would like to purchase buddy bearings. The guy I just spoke to at Harbor Freight said anything 25mm would work... Ah thats .984. I actually wrote that down - there is no way thats correct, is it? Do you have any idea what would fit? Thanks a TON for your help.

I reviewed your photo and other photos of your H-F 90154 folding trailer and it appears to have grease caps far larger than 0.984-inches. It sounds like you were quoted a bearing dimension, not a grease cap dimension. What I suggest you do is remove one of the standard grease caps and measure the inside bore of the hub. You will need a caliper like # PTW80157 to measure to the nearest thousandth of an inch, e.g. 1.234-inches. You can then use the linked page to check for a Bearing Buddy of the appropriate dimension.

"Bargain" trailers often use unusual parts that are not readily available. In the case of a hub bore that measures 0.984-inches, we do not have any Bearing Buddy available. The smallest size we have is 1.781-inches. This is also the smallest size of standard grease cap that we offer. Please refer to the linked page.
