How Does Curt Cargo Carrier C18153 Fit a 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe

Question:

I am trying to decide between the c18150 vs c18153 product. I understand the main differences, however, I am a little concerned with the ground clearance of the 53 being so far out from the back of the vehicle. I know the 50 will work just fine, however, is smaller and slightly closer to the exhaust exit. I wanted to check to see if you had any major feedback on the 53 on lower hitches. I measured an unweighted height of 10 inches to the bottom of the hitch and about 40 inches from wheel base to bumper.

If you check out the review I attached you will see the Curt cargo carrier part # C18151 being demoed on a 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe just like yours. It will sit 14 inches off the ground at the back of the carrier. And adds 38-1/2 inches to the back of the vehicle.

It would work well for you and have clearance to fold up but you would need to be careful in steep elevation changes so that it doesn't drag.
