Single Axle Hay Dolly Axle Upgrade with 1.375 Inner and 1.250 Outer Bearings on a Mobile Home Axle
Question:
I have an older hay dolly which hauls 6 large round bales of hay. It has a single axle and I want to replace the mobile home hubs with a 5 or 6 lug hub. The inner bearing diameter 1.375, and the outer bearing diameter is 1.250 inch. can you recommend a hub set that will work. I do not have wheels yet, but will purchase according to the need to fit onto the hub assembly you recommend. Thanks

The only recommendation I could make for you would be to install new axles on your trailer.
Mobile home axles are designed as one time use axles. They usually have odd spindle sizes on them that make them incompatible with standard trailer hubs.
Attached is a page that has all of the axles we have with the correct hubs included. You will want to determine which will suit your trailer based on the overall length axle you want from hub face to hub face, then select the distance between the leaf springs you need, and then finally the bolt pattern hubs you want to match your trailer wheels.
