Replacement Trailer Axle Seal Recommendation for Replacing 171255TB

I have a 2006 Fleetwood Pioneer 18CT with dual axles made by Quality Trailer Products - Axle Division I think the company is now known as Rockwell American. The empty trailer wt. is 4100 with a carrying capacity of 1800 for a gross wt of 5900. The axles are fitted with ACCU-LUBE. According to the axle manual the original replacement hub seal number is 171255TB. Your replacement seal number is 58846. Is your replacement seal cross referenced to the original seal?

For a pair of seals that cross reference with your 171255TB you would want the part # RG06-050. This would be an exact match, double-lip seal that will fit your hubs.

In order to determine the torque rating for the lug nuts on your trailer you will need to know check out the chart I attached that shows all of the torque specs for all the trailer lugs available based on stud size, wheel material and wheel size.

The ALKO 4,400 lb axles use the same bearing sizes as the standard 3,500 lb alxes. If you want USA made bearings, I recommend the Bearing Kit #TMK52VR. This kit comes with the Timken brand bearings which are all made here in the USA.

Grease seal set #RG06-050 is what you will need. These are double lip seals, just like what you have (the spring indicates that) and the dimensions are all the same including the 1/2 inch width.
