Ramp Door Spring Recommendation for a 5x8 Enclosed Trailer
Question:
I have a 2006 Classic v nose 5x8 enclosed trailer with no ramp door assist. The door is too heavy to lift now. Is there a conversion kit I can install ?

What I recommend for your enclosed trailer is a ramp spring such as # 362SA6 which is 66 inches wide. This is similar to a garage door spring and as such it is recommended to have someone with experience installing garage door torsion springs perform the installation. The spring will not take up the total weight of the door but will assist with 80 pounds of it which is the max capacity of the spring.
