Could Pin of Rapid Hitch Ball Mount AM3413 be Removed and Allow Trailer to Easily Be Stolen
Question:
I am looking at your adjustable ball mount AM3413. It looks like if anyone wanted to steal the trailer, they could just remove the pin used to adjust the ball height. Is there a locking type pin to ensure no one can easily steal the trailer? thanks,

To steal a trailer from a vehicle that was using the part # AM3413 as a ball mount would prove to be more difficult than you would think. They would have to jack the trailer up enough that there would be no load on the ball mount platform so that the pin could be pulled out.
Then they would have to lower the jack far enough to slide the platform of the shank and then if the coupler was locked to the ball would have to have the shank of the part # AM3413 to then reverse that process on to their vehicle. It would be quite a bit of work and would require the thief to have the same ball mount which would be incredibly unlikely.
For a similar aluminum adjustable ball mount you would want the part # DTALBM7000 instead as it has locks on the platform and for the hitch pin.
