You will need to use the 4 Pole Harness and Hardwire Kit, item # C59496, and a Brake Controller 7 & 4 Way Installation Kit, item # ETBC7, to install all of the wiring needed for towing a trailer with electric brakes.
The # 119147KIT will have all of the wiring to power the trailer stop, turn and tail lights and the # ETBC7 kit will have the additional wiring needed to install the wiring that controls the electric trailer brakes and auxilliary power functions for the trailer. We have detailed instructions (see links) for installation of both the # C59496 and the # ETBC7 wiring kit for you to use. We also have a video installation of a brake controller and the wiring kit on a Ford truck, that will be very similar to your installation, for you to review.
You will also need a brake controller to activate the trailer brakes when the vehicle brakes are applied. The Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Brake Controller, item # 90885, is an excellent brake controller that gets great reviews from our customers and is easy to set up and use. I have linked instructions for installation and use of the brake controller also.
