Brake Controller Recommendation for 2008 GMC Sierra Towing Travel Trailer

Question:

Looking for a product selection. I have a 08 Sierra 1/2 ton P.U. and a 27 foot travel trailer weighing about 4900 lbs. Dual axle w/ four brakes. What electric brake controller would you recommend for this set up. Thanks,

For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup. This is a proportional brake controller that senses the amount of braking the tow vehicle is applying and applies a proportionate amount to the trailer brakes. This would work great for your travel trailer that has dual brake axles.

To install this controller all you need to do is wire it to the harness that is under the dash of your truck. If you check out the install video link I attached you can see exactly how it installs in a 2008 Silverado similar to yours.
