Hitch Mount Bike Rack to Carry 2 Bikes on 2 Different Vehicles With Different Sized Hitch Receivers
Question:
I have 2 vehicles: A 2016 Toyota Highlander and a 2010 Honda Civic. 1 I am trying to decide which bike rack to buy. Either a RockyMounts SplitRail Platform Hitch Rack versus a Thule T2 Pro XTR. Ive watched your videos and read the reviews. But, I still cant decide which one to buy. Please advise. 2 My plan is to buy 1 bike rack and use it on both vehicles. I want to put a Hitch with 2inch receiver on the Highlander. However, I cant find a 2inch receiver hitch for the Civic. Your web site only shows 1.25inch receiver. Are there any 2inch receiver hitches for the Civic? 3 If there are no 2inch receiver hitches for the Civic, what's the solution/options?

For your 2016 Toyota Highlander the best hitch option is the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98844. This is a Class III, 2 inch hitch receiver.
For your 2010 Honda Civic we have the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - 2" # 306-X7233. This hitch has the 2" opening that you need and is rated up to 300 lbs. of tongue weight.
I have attached installation videos for both hitches on both vehicles.
Both the RockyMounts SplitRail # RKY11404 and the Thule T2 Pro XTR # TH83JV are a great choice and will work with both vehicles. I've included a review video of each of these for you to see.
