Disc Brakes for 2004 EZ Loader 3500 Pounds Trailer

Question:

hello, I have boat trailer, double axial to carry my 20foot North River Seahawk around. the trailer brand is 2004 EZ Loader Model 5-TEZB 17-20/22 4000 14inch 3500 currently it has drum brake on the front axial and it does not works well. I would like to convert the drum brake to disk brake. Can you recommend what kit will fit for my trailer if possible completed with new bearing. Thank you.

A disc brake kit that will fit your trailer is the Kodiak Disc Brake Kit # K2HR35D. You will need two Bearing Kits # BK2-100 which includes both the inner and outer bearings as well as the seal.

I have included the installation video for you as well.

For a brake actuator, the Dexter Brake Actuator for Disc Brakes # 099-175-20 is a great fit. Disc brakes need a different actuator than drums because they require more pressure through the brake lines.

Also, if you have a steel brake line connected to the caliper it could get damaged when the caliper moves so you will want a short flexible brake line like # T0776500 to go from the steel line to the brake caliper.
