Will the Thule T2 Wheel Hooks Be Compatible with Bikes that have Fenders?

Hi, I watched your informative review of the Thule T2 bike rack and have a question about Thule racks. Will racks utilizing wheel hooks work on bikes with fenders?

For bikes with fenders, I would instead suggest the Thule Doubletrack # TH92BJ. This will hold the bike to the carrier using the wheel cradles and the bike frame. The wheel hooks on the T2 you were looking at aren't intended to secure bikes with fenders over the tires.

The adjustable frame cradles will allow you to mount regular or alternative framed bikes with fenders nicely. This bike rack includes a hitch lock and locks on the ratcheting cradles to secure your bike to the rack and your rack to the vehicle.

I noticed you also looked at hitches for your 2007 Volvo XC70, and wanted to let you know that if you decide to go with the Curt # C12318 you will need to use the # 18050 stabilization strap with the bike rack. If you instead decide to go with the Draw-Tite # 36297 you will not need this strap.
