Recommended Transmission Cooler for 2006 GMC Yukon XL Denali

Question:

Will this fit on a 2006 yukon denali xl I believe it has a 4L65e transmisson? I was looking to do one of these and a front mount trans cooler as well. My trans temp has reached 250 while towing up hill. Thanks

You are wise to install supplementary transmission cooling for your 2006 GMC Yukon XL since transmission fluid temperatures of 250-degrees Fahrenheit will otherwise certainly shorten its lifespan.

I suggest the Derale # D13504, a high-efficiency Class IV cooler, for your 6.0L. You will also need adapter fitting # D13035 to install it. A video is included to show you the process.

So your transmission is reaching 250 and you have a supplemental cooler as well? It sounds like you might need to get your OEM and supplemental coolers checked out if they aren't able to keep your vehicle cool enough.

thanks , well the coolers are clean , and its not blocked internally , i mean the oil is circulated through the lines . kindly can i know if there is another thing to be checked for the coolers . thanks

@LoaiQ I'm honestly not sure what else you'll need to check. You'll want to have someone who is familiar with transmissions to take a look at what's going on.
