Helpful Expert Reply:

Since trailer lighting is typically configured with stop and turn signals carried on the same wire, you will need to install a taillight converter on the motorcycle to combine those signals before they reach the trailer lights. You can use kit # 119178KIT which includes a circuit tester, quick-splice connectors and the converter itself with a 4-pole plug.

The wiring configuration will be as follows:

Cycle LEFT turn goes to yellow wire
Cycle RIGHT turn goes to green wire
Cycle BRAKE goes to red wire
Cycle RUNNING LIGHT goes to brown wire
White wire is ground.
