Want to add bike rack to my Honda Odyssey 2012. Do I just need to buy the appropriate hitch and bike rack or is there something else I would need? Thanks!

I recommend using a trailer hitch and a hitch mounted bike rack on your Odyssey. Installing a trailer hitch can be used for bike carriers and cargo carriers as well.

The trailer hitch I recommend for your Honda is the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch, part # 75270. This is a Class lll hitch and it has a 2-inch receiver opening.

I recommend a platform-style bike carrier for your Odyssey. Platform bike carriers are easier to load and unload and with a tilting feature you have access to the rear cargo area of your vehicle. The bike carrier I recommend is the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE2, part # HR1450Z. This bike rack has a capacity of 50-lbs per bike.
