Where Does the Tow Ready Trailer Wiring Harness Install on a 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe with Tow Package
Question:
I have the tow package. Do I have to install the wiring harness on the inside or can I just connect to the factory harness under the vehicle?

Expert Reply:
If your 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe with tow package already has a functional trailer connector then you would not have to install another one. But if it does not then the factory connection points to add one are located inside the vehicle though the 4-Way will get routed to the outside of the vehicle.
Of course if the connectors are not on the inside of your vehicle but mounted only on the outside like they are on the 2008 models then that is where you would plug it in like in the video I have linked for a similar harness. I have also included a link to the installation instructions for 118258.
