Recommended Rear Axle Suspension Kit for Cargo Load Support in 2015 Ford F-350 Diesel 4x4

Question:

I have a 2015 F-350 crew cab, single rear wheels not a dually, 4x4, 6.7L diesel with the platinum trim package 20inch wheels, 11,500 GVRW. I want to improve my safety when hauling approximately 3000Ibs of payload 2500 in the bed and 500lbs of tongue wt. from my trailer. I am considering the Torklift TLA7200, Torklift TLA7310 and Timbren TFRTT350F vs the Firestone F8615. Is it possible/reasonable to add all three of these components? If so, would you suggest the Timbren or the Firestone and why? Thanks.

Each different type of rear axle suspension enhancement product offers certain advantages. Air bag kits from Firestone and others allow adjustment to suit a particular load, while jounce springs like the Timbren and Tork Lift kits are less costly and easier to install, and they leave your unloaded ride quality unaffected. If your load is pretty constant at around 3K jounce springs are my recommendation but if you sometimes haul without towing, and tow without hauling, the adjustability of air bags - and the bonus of being able to adjust them on the fly by using a compressor kit - make that product the better option. It is best to use only one kit in your truck.

For an air bag kit for your 4x4 diesel use the Firestone # F2597; you can add the compressor kit # F2158.

Between the various jounce spring options for your F-350 I suggest the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs # SSR-114-54 as having the most bang-for-the-buck. These simply bolt on in place of your factory bump stops for 2800-lbs of load support. An installation video is linked for you.

Several articles on suspension kits are linked for you.
