Replacement Wheel and Tire for Car Hauler with B78-13ST

Question:

I have a Triton A2 Aero Car on a custom built trailer. The trailer is 25+ years old. The tires on it are B78-13ST, were going to haul it from Michigan to Cal. Looking for a set or replacement tire and rims that are Load Range D that will fit onto the trailer. What should I be looking for?

The modern equivalent to the B78-13ST is the 175/80-13 like what is on the part # AM31242 that you referenced. You would just need to verify the bolt pattern of your current wheels to know if this would fit. This rim has a 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern. I attached a help article on determining bolt pattern for you to check out as well.

A better option would be the part # TA43RR though as it has a radial tire which rides and wears better than a bias-ply and it has a speed rating of 81 mph instead of 65.
