Weight Distribution System Recommendation for a Camper with 610 lbs of Tongue Weight
Question:
I had purchased this a year ago to pull a smaller camper. I now have purchased a camper which weighs 6200 lbs loaded and 610 lbs tongue weight. Would RP66558 be undersized for towing? Thanks,

You will want to go with a higher capacity weight distribution system. For a system to be effective you want the tongue weight of the trailer to fall right into the middle of the tongue weight range of the system. Your 610 lbs of tongue weight is more than the 600 lb limit of your RP66558 so you would need to upgrade.
For that I would recommend the Straitline part # RP66083 as it has a tongue weight range of 400 to 800 lbs and features the only sway control on the market that is designed to stop sway before it starts.
