2016 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport 7-Way Recommendation to Fit Bumper Cut Out
Question:
I have a 2016 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport that is not pre-wired for a trailer connector. I like this item, as it would fit very will in the space in the bumper that is designed for a dual 7-pole and 4-pole connector. However, I am thinking that I may need to install a T-connector first and then run that to this trailer connector. Would this be correct, or is there a better way to accomplish this parts installation for this scenario? Thanks!

You are on the right track for sure to install the # HM40975-11998.
You would first need to start with a 4-way like part # C56349 and then to convert it to a 7-way you would need to cut off the 4-way of this hardwire and then hardwire it to the part # HM40975-11998.
