Weight of Components in Demco Hijacker 13K Autoslide 5th Wheel Hitch

Question:

Can you tell me the weight of the overall hitch and all its components? I understand it can add significant weight to my truck. Also, it appears you would have to be straight on the hitch when hitching up, does the same hold true when unhitching? In other words, could I unhitch at at 45 angle and somehow reposition the hitch manually to 0 when hitching back up? Thank you

The head( # DM6081) of the 13K Demco Hijacker Autoslide weighs 65lbs, the base weighs 210lbs, and the above the bed brackets( # DM6003) 30lbs while the puck mounting under bed brackets( # DM6004) weigh 42lbs totaling to 305-317lbs. This will add weight to your truck, but it's minor compared to the weight the hitch is capable of towing. The # DM6141 is just the head and base while the # DM8550040 is the system with above the bed rail brackets and the # DM8550041 is the unit with the puck system brackets.

I was able to find in the directions, which I've attached to this page, that the Autoslide hitch can couple and uncouple up to a 10-15 degree angle quite easily. Anything over that wil not allow for proper coupling.

I have linked the 13K Demco Autoslide to this page for your convenience.
