Recommended Roof Rack and Cargo Basket for 2016 Jeep Cherokee

Looking to see if this will fit my 2016 jeep Cherokee and what cross bars are options for me. I have the factory roof rails.

Thank you for the photo of your 2016 Jeep Cherokee that has factory-installed raised side rails on its roof. To use the Rhino-Rack Roof Mounted Steel Cargo Basket # RMCB02 on your Cherokee you'll need a roof rack like their aerodynamic Vortex Aero rack, made of parts # RRVA126B-2 and # RRSX100. This rack will be quieter than other types thanks to its elliptical-shaped bars that reduce wind turbulence. Their black finish will also complement the Jeep's appearance. An installation video is linked for you.
These aero bars are compatible with the basket's hardware and they provide a 165-lb weight capacity. This means that the total combined weight of the basket (45-lbs) and its contents need to remain within that limit. In this case you could potentially load cargo of up to 120-lbs into the basket. It is also a good idea to also check the car's owner's manual to see what weight rating Jeep gives to the roof.
Often rooftop cargo users choose a step to simplify loading and unloading. We offer a tire step # HE4040 that comes fully-assembled and slips over a rear tire when you need it, and also step stools like # CAM43676 that can be positioned anywhere you need it.
