How to Carry Bikes and Tow a Small Utility Trailer

Question:

I have a Yakima bike rack lockjaw/raptor + cross bars + railrider3 that I would like to mount on my 4x8 alum. trailer. The bed of the trailer has a lip or toe railing that extends up from the outside edge of the trailer about 3 inches think of a 3x3 inch Linch bracket around the outside edge. Since the trailer would be used for other hauling activities, the bike rack would need to be fairly easy to mount and remove. I do not want to mount a track or landing pads or feet on the trail bed since that would interfere with the normal use of the trailer. Id like to mount if possible the bike rack to the exterior side of the trailer box. The trailer is a Triton GU8 any suggestions?

I think I have an easier solution for allowing you to carry bikes while towing your smaller trailer.

The Curt part # D210 is a ball mount that has a second hitch opening above the platform that would allow a bike rack to fit. For then a platform bike rack that would fit the hitch opening the Swagman XTC2 part # S64670 would work well.

I attached review videos for both products for you to check out as well.

Trying to come up with a way to temporarily mount a roof rack style bike rack on your trailer would be quite a bit of work and not something we would have a solution for.
