To see what height you will need on your 5th Wheel-to-Gooseneck coupler adapter you can back your 2005 Dodge Ram 3500 4WD Dually truck into position as if you were hooking up your fifth-wheel trailer, making sure that the truck and trailer are level.
Make sure you have 4 inches of clearance between the top of the bed sides and the bottom of the trailer loft for pitch and roll. This should get you the right measurement to make a decision. Then, measure from the pin plate (the bottom of the pin box) down to the top of the ball in the bed of your truck. This is the height adapter you will need.
