Center Cap Recommendation For 16-Inch Trailer Wheels With 4.90 Inch Pilot Hole

Question:

I bought a pair of 7k torflex axles. I previously bought a new set of 4 16x6 8 bolt aluminum wheels all for a deck over gooseneck trailer project. 1 thing Ive discovered, and never noticed before, all 16inch aluminum trailer wheels have a 4.90inch pilot hole. My axles hub center is much smaller, about 4.75, possibly 4.50. If I mount my wheels to these axles, they will not be hub centered lug centered instead, which I dont want. Are there hub centric rings available for my application?

All of the Aluminum 16-Inch wheels we offer with an 8 on 6-1/2 bolt pattern have a pilot hole that measures 4.90 inches diameter. There will be a small gap around the hub if your hub measures 4-1/2 to 4-3/4 inches diameter.

None of the 16 inch wheels we offer are hub-centric. They are all lug-centric meaning they rely on the lugs for mounting.

We do have wheel center caps that will fit the wheels like part # AM90156C. This slips over the hub before the wheel is mounted and will work great with the 4.90 inch pilot hole on your wheels.
