For your Sportrack Explorer Cargo Box the only latch system we offer as a confirmed fit is the part # 03347 which is similar to your wire latch but is slightly different.

I spoke with my contact at Thule, who manufactured the Sears X Cargo boxes. I was told that the #03347 latch you mentioned is indeed the correct replacement for the damaged latch on your #30072501 cargo box.
