Best Weight Distribution Recommendation for 600 lbs of Tongue Weight
Question:
Before I got the camper title in my hand, I thought that the camper weight was 4300 lbs, so I had decided on the EQ37100ET hitch thinking I would be in the 700 lb plus range in tongue weight based on 13 and an added 1200 lbs of cargo, water, etc. Now however, I found the weight to be 4003 lbs. which puts me in the mid 600 lb range so I was thinking about the EQ37061ET. Problem is that the 600 lb range is missing on the Equalizer hitches and I need a 2 5/16inch ball and the EQ37061ET calls for a 2. Will the EQ37061ET handle my camper and can I put a 2 5/16inch ball on it? One other thing, I like the way these two hitches attach, I dont want to drill holes in tongue like some hitches require, and sway prevention, not sway reduction is a must. Thanks for your help.

I have a great solution for you, but your tongue weight of your trailer (600 lbs) does fall into a gap in coverage for the Equalizer systems.
But the Reese Strait Line part # RP66083 would be perfect for you. This system has a range of 400 lbs - 800 lbs and features sway control that works to prevent sway even more so that Equalizer.
The frame brackets do not require drilling either.
For a 2 inch ball you would want part # A-90 and for a 2-5/16 inch ball # 19286.
