Recommended Electric Over Hydraulic Brake Set Up for 2016 Montana 3710FL 5th Wheel

I am purchasing a 2016 Montana Model 3710FL fifth wheel RV. I would like to convert it to electric over hydraulic disc brakes. What do you suggest? I believe it has 7000 lb. axles. What would be the cost of parts from you to make this conversion? I have read good reviews for your Kodiak kits. Thanks for your help!

I was able to confirm that your Montana 3710FL uses tandem 7000 lb axles. A 7K axle would typically have an 8 on 6-1/2 wheel bolt pattern and the spindles would be compatible with a 25580 inner and an 14125A outer bearing. You'll want to identify the inner and outer wheel bearings used by your current hub/drums. Let me know if your hubs uses a different outer bearing.

If your drums use the 25580 inner and 14125A outer bearing, I'd recommend the Kodiak 13 Inch Hub/Rotor Kit, part # K2HR712E. The races are included, but the bearings, seals, lug nuts and grease caps are sold separately.

Bearings # 25580 and # 14125A (sold individually)
Grease seal # RG06-070 (sold in pairs)
Lug nut # CE11051 (sold individually)
Grease cap # F001520 (sold individually)

Next, you'd need an electric over hydraulic brake actuator. I'd recommend using the Hydrastar # HBA16. According to our installers, the Hydrastar is the quickest acting and strongest actuator we offer. If your truck doesn't have a brake controller compatible with electric over hydraulic braking systems, I'd recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3, part # 90195 because of it's user-friendly display and controls. Next, you'll need a brake line kit like # HS496-252. Finally, you'll need a breakaway system. I'd recommend the # T4822100 from Titan.

Yes we do have Dexter brake lines that can be used with brake assemblies like the #K71-633-2 like with the part #HS496-252 for a tandem axle trailer or #18SI-BLKIT which is for a single axle trailer.
