Trailer Valet Recommendation for Trailer without Clearance for Frame Bracket
Question:
Hi, I have an existing 2inch tube mount welded on my trailer tongue. Do I still need to use the mounting kit that comes with the Trailer valet? Otherwise, I wont have any room on the tongue to install the mounting kit that comes with it see pic Im looking to use the trailer valet for 2 things: i make small minor adjustments to the trailer when I try to hitch it to my car - Im using a MAX coupler and it slight adjustments to the right and left makes a whole lot of difference and ii pivoting my trailer left to right up to 90 degrees at the camp site and moving it to more awkward spots on the camp ground no more than 5 - 10 feet, across gravel or grassy areas. Im particularly concerned about ii. Ive heard that the Trailer Valet mainly does well on sealed surfaces. Im also interested to hear if you have any advise on alternatives to the trailer valet to do what I need done as detailed above. I have a tear trailer that is about 2,800 lbs with a 2inch mounting tube that is welded on the tongue. Thanks

I have a solution for you, but based on your trailer frame not having much clearance for the install bracket of the # STC-V211 you would instead want the part # TVXL2 as it will fit in the hitch ball when you need to move the trailer around and won't require mounting to your trailer.
This will fit a 2 inch hitch ball. If instead you have a 2-5/16 inch ball you would want the part # TVXL25.
