Difference Between Fifth Wheel Rail Kits from Reese for 2015 Ford F-150

Question:

I have a 2015 Ford F-150, crew-cab, with a 6.5foot bed, and I want to install my RBW Lil Rockr. Will kit # RP56013-53 fit this hitch? Also, what is the difference between kit #s RP56013-53 and RP50086-58? Thank you of your help!

Yes, the Reese fifth wheel rail kit part # RP56013-53 will work with your RBW Lil Rocker fifth wheel hitch and will also fit your 2015 Ford F-150 short bed.

The Reese rail kit part # RP50086-58 also fits the hitch and your truck. The difference between these two hitch is how they install and the size of the rails. The # RP56034-53 is an outboard rail kit that will install much easier but will give you slightly larger rails whereas the # RP50087-58 is an inboard rail kit that will give you slightly smaller rails but will be harder to install. Outboard kits are also a bit more expensive.

By outboard and inboard that means that the brackets of the kit attach on the outside of the truck frame whereas inboard installs to the inside of the frame. The outside of the frame will be much easier to access.
