Trailer Brake Controller Installation-2008 Nissan Frontier
Question:
Hello, I have a 2008 Nissan frontier. When I purchased truck had no hitch or anything. Since then I have had hitch installed and I installed the wiring kit 118525 from you guys a while back. I now need to upgrade to a 7 way with a brake controller. Can I purchase 118267 and replace the 4 way with that? And then plug in TK90160-3050-P. Thanks for your assistance.

If your Frontier has the brake controller connector under the dash, that's exactly what you'd need to do. Look under the dash near the top of the emergency brake pedal. The wiring harness you're looking will usually have a white tag on it that says "Electric Brakes". Once you locate the connector, plug one end of the 3050-P connector into the back of the brake controller, the other end into the connector you've just found.
If you can't find the connector, you'd want to hardwire the brake controller using our brake controller installation kit, part # ETBC7. I'll link you to some FAQ articles that explain how to use the install kit.
