Compatibility of Towbar and Adapter Plates on a 2010 Jeep Wrangler with XRC Aftermarket Bumper

Your best bet is to see if one of the D-Ring mounting options from Roadmaster will work with your XRC bumper, because none of our manufactures have a specific baseplate kit that will fit the XRC aftermarket bumper. You will want to make sure that your bumper is approved for flat towing by the manufacturer. To best determine which bracket is right for your XRC bumper you will want to measure.

The # RM-035 brackets attach to 3/4 inch thick shackle mounts and the attachment pins fit 7/8 inch and 1 inch diameter mounting holes.

The # RM-035-1 brackets attach to a 1 inch thick shackle mount and the attachment pins fit 7/8 inch and 1 inch diameter mounting holes.

Both are compatible with the recommended Roadmaster Sterling All Terrain Tow Bar # RM-576. I like this tow bar because the safety cables and wiring are already run through the unit for you, which helps protect them from the elements. This tow bar does not have a specific speed rating but in the instructions it states that it is rated for highway speeds.

Some important things to know about towing this vehicle are that the battery must be disconnected, there will also be other information on recreational towing of the vehicle in the owners manual that is important for you to check out.
