Bike Rack Recommendations for a 2015 Nissan Versa Note
Question:
What is the best bike rack to purchase for a 2015 Nissan Note? A bike shop told me I would have to get a hitch and that seems like a lot of trouble. I will only need to carry two bikes.

You can use a trunk mount bike rack with your 2015 Nissan Versa Note but since the vehicle has that spoiler-like trim piece at the top there is only one trunk mount bike rack that I recommend, the Yakima Fullback # Y02634.
This rack was designed for vehicle like yours. A regular trunk mount rack will put stress on the spoiler. The Fullback rack is designed to prevent this, hopefully, your spoiler will not interfere. I have linked a video showing how it works.
A hitch might actually be a better option though. Once the hitch is installed you would just insert a bike rack's shank into the receiver, put the pin in and you are ready to load bikes. A trunk mount carrier on the other hand has multiple straps to connect to the vehicle and can be difficult for one person.
If you are interested in a hitch at all, I recommend Curt # C11378 along with the stabilizer strap # 18050. This is a Class I hitch, so it is limited to 2 bikes. For a great economical and lightweight option, I recommend the Swagman XC 2-Bike Rack Platform Style for 1-1/4" and 2" Trailer Hitches # S64650. Then to secure the rack to your vehicle rack lock # e98879 and bike cable lock # e98891 to secure your bikes to the rack. I have linked a video of this rack for you. My opinion is the hitch is the best option.
