Does Lippert Gound Control 3.0 Electric 5th Wheel RV Leveling System LC358590 Require Welding

Question:

Can the landing gears from this system be bolted on, or is welding required? It also looks like there may be some interference with the slide mechanism drive bar which may require offsetting the left rear leg by about 2inch with a plate. Is this acceptable?

The Lippert Gound Control 3.0 Electric 5th Wheel RV Leveling System # LC358590 does allow for bolt-on (no-welding) installation on a 5th wheel trailer. The rear jacks install on 8-, 10- or 12-inch frames using the included brackets (drilling is required for those) and the front landing gear use your existing mounting points.

Certain features like slide-outs can interfere with installation in some instances. My contact at Lippert indicated that a minor position shift of one leg may be needed and this is okay so long as the mounting point is strong enough.

A video is linked for you to illustrate operation of this remote-controlled motorized leveling system.
