Replacement Electric Drum Brakes for 1993 Palomino Mustang Pop-Up Camper

I recently purchased an older popup camper, 1993 palomino mustang. I am concerned that the torsion axle may be worn out as it sits pretty low. The axle is an AL-KO SF-19. I am wondering about the cost of a replacement axle as well as electric brakes which I would like to add the the camper. Thanks

We do not offer torsion axles but we can help you select replacement electric drum brakes for your 1993 Palomino Mustang pop-up. You can use the linked page to see all electric drum brakes we offer. You'll want to match your axle rating (usually it appears on a plate or sticker on the axle itself) and the drum diameter and width. Just click on your axle rating to see electric drum brakes in the appropriate rating.

If you have a 3500-lb axle you can use the 10 x 2-1/4-inch brakes # AKEBRK-35L and # AKEBRK-35R which are the manual-adjust type. If you prefer self-adjusting brakes then instead use parts # AKEBRK-35L-SA and # AKEBRK-35R-SA.

We do offer axle-less suspension systems from Timbren, shown on the linked page, including kit # A35RS545E rated at 3500-lbs which includes the suspension assemblies, brakes, hub/drums, etc. These kits can provide better ground clearance by eliminating the axle beam entirely. They bolt (or weld) right on to the trailer frame.
