Could a 2 Post Auto Lift Damage the Air Lift LoadLifter Air Helper Springs for 2012 Ford F-150

Question:

When servicing I use a two post auto lift that lifts my F150 from the frame of the truck. Will the Air Lift part# AL88200 be damaged from the axle hanging unsupported while lifted by the frame?

If the rear axle is left unsupported, it is possible that damage could occur to the AirLift airbags while on a 2 post auto lift like you referenced.

I spoke with my contact at Air Lift about your concerns regarding the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate Air Helper Springs # AL88200 while your 2012 Ford F-150 is on your auto lift. He said that as long as the springs are at 0 psi, they will be fine while the F-150 is lifted into place. But once the vehicle is set you will want to support the rear axle with jack stands. If left unsupported, damage to the springs could occur.

It is important to not let the axle hang unsupported for too long to protect the # AL88200 airbags.
