Recommended Replacement for 7.50-15LT Trailer Tire

Question:

The tires for the Tandem Axle boat trailer used for our cabin cruiser are very old and cracked. The only info legible is 7.5-15LT and 2660 lbs single max lbs. What would be a good modern replacement tire size?

You can replace your 7.50-15LT trailer tire; you would only need a replacement that fits that size rim and is similar in overall size while also having a load rating that matches or exceeds your boat trailer's GVWR.

For this I strongly recommend the Westlake ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range D # LHWL300 because of its exceptional 10/32" tread depth and strength, which is evidenced by the tire's 5-year warranty, which is extensive for a trailer tire. Even if something should happen it comes with free roadside assistance for two years no matter if you are in the U.S. or Canada.

These tires measure 27.1" in diameter, 8" in width, fit 15" x 5" and 15" x 6" rims, and have a 2,150 lb capacity when inflated to their max 65 psi.

I have added a link to a video review of these tires for you to check out.
