Replacement Seal for Dayton Trailer Hubs with L68149 Inner Bearing
Question:
Looks like I may have mobile home axles with Dayton Spider hubs. I did pull the bearings and found the inter bearing marked 4T L60149. Will this help me get the correct seal and bearing Kit?. Dayton hub had the following written on the face. W6 F226 or266

Are you sure that the bearing number is L60149 and not L68149? Because I have no information on a 60149 but L68149 is a standard bearing number. This is the inner bearing found on 84 spindles. The seal associated with this bearing and spindle is a 10-19. For a pair it is # RG06-050. These seals are 1.719 inches inner diameter and 2.565 inches outer diameter.
To be sure these seals will fit you can measure the spindle where the seal rides and the diameter inside the back of the hub where the seal goes. the measurements have to be as accurate as possible so I recommend the use of digital calipers # PTW80157.
If it is an 84 spindle then you can use bearing kit # BK2-100.
