How to Install the Reverse Wire on a 5-Way Trailer Connector on a 2008 F-150 4x4
Question:
what wire is the reverse wire on a 2008 F150 4x4? I am hooking up a 4 wire flat to 5 wire flat adapter that i purchased for towing my boat with trailer breaks. Thank you

When installing the 4 Pole to 5 Pole Trailer Wiring Adapter, item # 20036, on your 2008 F-150 you will need to use a circuit tester, item # PTW2993 if needed, to find the backup light circuit behind one of the vehicle tail lights.
We have a help video that shows the process in detail on a different vehicle. I would also recommend using the Mounting Bracket for 5-Pole Flat, item # TR20046, to secure the 5-Way connector at the rear of the vehicle.
