Will Thule Force XT Roof Box Allow Rear Hatch To Open On 2011 Toyota Prius
Question:
Hello, Do you know if the Thule Force XT TH6357B will fit on top of a 2011 Toyota Prius with enough room for the trunk door to open and so that you wont be able to see the box from inside the car when looking out through the front windshield? Thank you.

There is a quick measurement you can take to see if the Thule Force XT, part # TH6357B will work on your 2011 Prius. You will need to measure from the center of the front crossbar rearward to the seam that separates the roof and the rear hatch. The TH6357B requires 47-1/2 inches to allow the rear hatch to open.
As far as being able to see it when looking through the front windshield it will not impede your view when driving but if you lean forward there is a very good chance you will see the nose of the roof box. If you were the first person at a stoplight you may have a little difficulty seeing the light. With the clearance being 47-1/2 inches for the rear hatch, it will stick out about 27 inches or so from the center of the front crossbar forward.
