Will Thule Force XT Cargo Box Fit Factory Roof Rack on 2015 Chevy Equinox
Question:
I have a 2015 Equinox and purchased the gm cross bars for it with the intention of getting a roof box for skis. I am considering the Thule force xl. I was concerned with the rear hatch right up until I noticed the big antenna getting the way of everything. If I get an aftermarket antenna that is only 2 inches high, would that be enough to fit a box? Thanks!

Yes the Thule Force XT box # TH6358B will fit the factory roof rack and crossbars on your 2015 Chevy Equinox.
To determine if there will be any interference with the rear hatch there is one measurement you will need to take.
First, if the crossbars can be moved, move the front bar as far forward as it will go. Then measure from the center of the front bar back to the nearest part of the hatch when open or to the antenna. If that distance is greater than 51-1/8 inches the Force XT box will fit.
Cargo boxes angle up at the back so it is possible that the antenna won't be a problem. Otherwise the boxes sit right on top of the crossbars so if the antenna does not stick up past the tops of the crossbars it would not be a problem.
