How to Install a 7-Way and a 4-Way Trailer Wiring Connector on a 2015 Nissan Pathfinder
Question:
I have a 2015 Nissan Pathfinder that does not have a tow hitch. I have purchased a curt class 3 aftermarket hitch and the Hopkins 40975 adapter for the wiring kit. I like this Hopkins part because it gives me the option of a 4 flat or a 7 prong. My question is how can I get the wiring to go from the back of the Hopkins 40975 to to the factor wiring on the pathfinder? Can you help me? The only part I see that your website is pointing me to is for a 4 flat only. Id really like the option of having both. Can I make this Hopkins 40975 work? Let me know at your earliest convenience. So that you could have both a 4-way and a 7-way connector at the rear of your 2015 Nissan Pathfinder you would want the part # 118273 which is a kit that will install a 7-way, but instead of using the 7-way that comes with it you would install the # HM40975 instead.
The round connector of the # 118273 will plug right into the # HM40975 and will allow either connector to be functional.
