Recommended Parts for Towing a Popup Camper with a 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan
Question:
Hi, Im hoping to buy a pop up trailer and tow it with my 2015 Grand Caravan. Ive read this related article, I was wondering if it mostly applies to the 2015 as well. Also, I couldnt locate the links located in this post, could you recommend any links regarding the tow package. Thanks

I can help get a towing setup for you to be able to haul a popup trailer with your 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan.
I went ahead and found the custom fit parts for your 2015 Dodge Caravan and listed them below. The GTW (Gross Trailer Weight) will depend on your vehicle and the number of passengers and whether or not you have the fold-in-floor seating. I linked an image from your owners manual showing the ratings.
One of the custom fit 2 inch hitches for your vehicle is the Draw-Tite # 75579, this one will work great for you. The custom fit wiring for your vehicle is # C56331. If your popup camper happens to have a 7 way connector then I would recommend the # ETBC7 to transform your 4 pole custom harness to a 7 way.
Some other things you will need to tow a trailer will be a ball mount and ball, I recommend the # EBMK4 kit, this will include a ball mount, pin and clip, and 2 common sized balls. The size ball you will need is dependent on the coupler size on the trailer.
If your popup trailer will have brakes then you will need a brake controller to relay the brake signal from the truck to the trailer. I really like the Tekonsha P3 # 90195, because it is a proportional brake controller which means it senses how the tow vehicle is slowing or stopping and applies the trailer's brakes with the same intensity. It also has a full display screen instead of codes that need deciphering.
A transmission cooler like # D13503 is for added extra protection because you cannot over cool your engine, so this will be up to you to decide if your vehicle needs it or not.
I would though depending on the tongue weight of your trailer recommend the Timbren Rear Suspension # TDVRRT to help with the sag your already low riding vehicle may occur with the added weight. This suspension enhancement is a no drill application that will simply replace the factory bump stops on your vehicle with a stronger stabilizing rubber spring.
All the links I've added will show up on this page under Featured Help Information, they will be install videos, direction links, and/or faq articles. If you scroll down all the products will be listed below as well as be hyper linked in the answer for your convenience. I've also linked the page with all the custom fit items for your vehicle.
