The plastic appearance panel on the driver's side will need to be removed for installation of the Draw-Tite Class III Trailer Hitch, item # 75726 on the 2010 Toyota Highlander.
The CURT Class III Round Tube Trailer Hitch, item # 13534, will also allow for the passengers side appearance panel to be reinstalled and the drivers side will need to be left off.
If you'll be towing with your Highlander, you'd also need the following items to complete your towing system:
4 pin trailer wiring harness assembly # 118449
Drawbar # C45010
Pin and clip # PC3
1-7/8 inch trailer ball # 19260
2 inch trailer ball # 63845
2 inch trailer ball # 63845
I have linked an FAQ on trailer hitch installation tips and an FAQ on towing components as well as some install videos that you might find helpful.
