Tire Cable Recommendation for a 2009 Subaru Forester with 215/65R16
Question:
We have a 2009 Subaru Forester AWD with Arctic Claw snow tires with studs: 215/65R16. We would like to use cables/chains for occasional use on small hills. The manual says do not use tire chains because of lack of clearance. What cable or chain product should we use? Thanks.

For your 2009 Subaru Forester with 215/65R16 tires the product that would have the best shot at working is the part # PW2016C as it is a tire cable that would have the best clearance.
We can't recommend you go against what your manufacturer states for tire chains but if you contact a Subaru dealer in your area you may be able to get them to OK the use of low clearance cables like this.
I attached a video of a similar 2010 Forester having these cables installed.
