The Westin replacement Sportsman Grill Guard hardware kit iyou mentioned, part # 40-024PK is designed to be used with a # 40-0245 or a # 45-0240 Sportsman Grill Guard on the following vehicles:
1997 - 2002 Ford Expedition 4 Wheel Drive
2000 - 2003 Ford F-150 4 Wheel Drive
1997 - 1999 Ford F-150 and F-250 Light Duty 4 Wheel Drive
2004 - 2004 Ford F-150 Heritage Series 4 Wheel Drive
It won't work on a 2004 Tundra.
Not only are the hardware kits somewhat vehicle specific, the grille guards themselves are as well. We frequently run into the situation where folks will pick up a grille guard at a swap meet or flea market, without knowing what vehicle it came off of. When the order the replacement hardware kit for their given vehicle, they find out that the hardware they ordered isn't compatible with the grille guard they have.
