How to Tow a 2007 Ford Focus Automatic Behind a Motor Home  

Question:

In the sam club tow list it says you cannt flat tow an auto 2007 focus- is there some thing we could do to car so we can flat tow????

From what I found your 2007 Ford Focus with automatic transmission will have to be towed with either all the wheels off of the ground on a trailer or by using a tow dolly to have the front wheels off the ground. I checked the owner's manual for the vehicle and it does say the same thing.

It looks like the stock tire size options where either 15 or 16 inch on the 2007 Focus so I recommend tow dolly # RM-2050-1. This tow dolly has all the bells and whistles including lights, wheel nets, and even electric brakes.

The lights plug into a 4-Way but I recommend removing the 4-Way and wiring the remaining wires, including the blue wire for electric brakes, to a 7-Way, # A7WCB. The motor home will also need to have a 7-Way and to activate the dolly brakes it will also need a brake controller such as # 90885.
