We have several cool options that would allow you to add LED lights to the Rhino-Rack cargo basket # RMCB. We have options for lighting up the basket itself so you can see your cargo, and options for lights to mount on the basket to light up the trail.

One option for lighting up the cargo in the basket that does not require connecting to the vehicle battery is a battery powered light strip such as # A80312. Two or three of these with their battery packs zip-tied to the basket would be an easy way to add some light. The lights themselves stick to a surface with included adhesive.

For something to light up the cargo that you would wire up to the vehicle battery and operate with a switch, such as # PK34513, the Optronics LED utility light strip, # ULL25CTVRB, is good choice. It has an aluminum housing so corrosion won't be a problem, and it is waterproof so no worries about leaving it on permanently. One wire is power and the other is ground.

The ground wire will need to be attached to a bare metal, non-painted surface. Wire the light power wire to either switch wire. The other switch wire will run to the positive battery terminal. Mount the switch somewhere in the vehicle cab and flip the switch to turn the LED light(s) on or off.

If you want to light up the trail in front of the vehicle then we have you covered there too. You can use some self-tapping screws to mount LED light bar # PL-9704 to the basket and wire it up via a switch as described above. This light puts out up to 5,280 lumens which I can tell you is very bright.
