Is an Extension Cable Needed to Install Hopkins Backup Camera on a Nissan Titan with a Crew Cab
Question:
I read one of the reviews. From Gary on a Nissan Titan. I have a crew cab. I was wondering if I would need an extension cable. He also mentions a plastic tool to remove the face of the radio. Any idea what this tool is or what the part number might be?

The wiring harness that comes with the Hopkins backup camera # HM50002 is 19 feet, 7 inches long. Depending on how it is routed you may or may not need to extend that length for installation on your truck.
There is a 5 foot extension cable, # HM3100504060, and a 25 foot cable, # HM3100504061. An extra 5 feet is probably all you would need if you needed any at all.
the tool in question was likely a type of trim panel tool. We have a set that you could use, # PT73HJ, that includes various trim panel tools. The key is to be gentle because they don't make vehicle interiors like they used to!
